The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents of a convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.

Lance Anthony Kokron, 57, lives at 411 Second St. NE. He is described as a white male, 5 feet, 7 inches, weighing 205 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He drives a white 2005 Toyota Corolla with North Dakota license plate HFA144.

Kokron has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Kokron was convicted of gross sexual imposition in December 2003. He was accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl over a period of four to five weeks. He was sentenced to 10 years.

Kokron is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Kokron. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten him or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.

More information on registered offenders is available on the Attorney General’s website at www.sexoffender.nd.gov/.
