Blue Jays take fourth at Bismarck Invite

The Jamestown High School boys swimming and diving team finished fourth with 263 points at the Bismarck Invite on Saturday.

Bismarck Century (554) and Minot (529) finished first and second, respectively, but Fargo South edged the Jays by four points for third. Mandan was fifth with 259 points.

Jamestown didn't win an individual event, but picked up three new state qualifiers in a variety of events. Braydon Love qualified in the 200 individual medley, the 100 freestyle and the 50 freestyle, while Hunter Boehm made it in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

Colt Rasmussen placed second in the 500 freestyle to qualify in the event with a time of 5:30.34. He also took third in the 200 free. Cody Lutman was fourth in diving with 176.354 points, while Riley Thomas was fifth at 168.8.

Andy Ostlund placed fourth in the 100 free (51.83) and Love was sixth (53.73). The Blue Jays placed fourth in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Jamestown hosts Minot and Mandan in a double dual at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
