Legion Auxiliary purchases items

EDR Unit #14 American Legion Auxiliary Jamestown met Nov. 27 at the All Vets Club with President Dorothy Speidel presiding. Members purchased items requested for the Veterans Home in Lisbon, N.D., and they were delivered.

A request was made to assist with a project for homeless veterans in Fargo by purchasing items needed when they move into their own apartments.

A monetary donation was made by the unit. Six members rang the bell for the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign on Dec. 3. A flag will be purchased for a local elementary school. The December meeting date has been changed to today with supper at members’ own expense and will be combined with Legionnaires. Ordering starts at 5:30 p.m. with regular meetings beginning at 7 p.m.
