Two speakers heard at Toastmasters

The Toastmasters met Dec. 11. Toastmaster Anita Monek shared some interesting trivia facts and figures. Mary Schwartzkopf gave a speech titled “The Magical Animation of Christmas Past.” The speech focused on the use of visual aids.

The second speaker was Mike Schwartz. In his speech titled “Truth Decay,” he shared how what we view as the truth has changed over time.

Table Topics Master Paul Behle asked Melissa Goodrich and Deb Alber to choose their best or worst Christmas and tell a little about it.

General Evaluator Goodrich gave a critique of the overall meeting.

Speech Evaluator Martin Monek gave a critique of Schwartzkopf’s speech.

The second speech evaluator, Behle, gave a critique of Schwartz’s speech.

Alber was ah counter/grammarian and timer. Schwartz was the joke master.

Alber was named best Table Topics speaker and Schwartzkopf was named best speaker.

There was a tie between Monek and Behle for best speech evaluator.

Toastmaster for this week is Monek. One of the toastmasters will also be doing a training module during the speaking portion of the meeting. The club meets at 6 p.m. every Tuesday in the basement of St. James Basilica.
