Lions sponsor blood drive

A total of 140 units were collected at Jamestown Lions Club’s recent blood drive on Dec. 11-12 at the North Dakota Farmers Union State Headquarters. The club exceeded its goal for the driver. Some blood donors had to be turned away at the end, because United Blood Service ran out of supplies, the Lions Club reported.

Businesses also helped make the event a success: North Dakota Farmers Union, for providing the site and Perkisn Family Restaurant, McDonald’s and Coburn’s for providing refreshments.
