Strasburg-Zeeland senior center Cole Nieuwsma stepped things up in the fourth period, scoring 9 of his 11 points to help the Clippers outscore South Border 21-13 over the final eight minutes and pick up victory No. 4 in Ashley 61-50 on Tuesday night.
The Mustangs led 23-21 at the half, and were trailing by just three points (40-37) heading into the final period of play. Hunter Pinke led the Mustangs with 14 points.
Nik Kramer scored 12 third-period points for the Clippers and led all scoring with 22 points. Strasburg-Zeeland improves to 4-0 on the year, while South Border dropped to 0-4.
