Blue Jays move up to fourth in poll
The Jamestown High School girls basketball team used a couple of hard-fought wins over Fargo Davies and Mandan to move up a spot in the second Class A girls state poll.
The Jamestown High School girls basketball team used a couple of hard-fought wins over Fargo Davies and Mandan to move up a spot in the second Class A girls state poll.
The Blue Jays are tied for fourth with West Fargo, which dropped from the top spot after a loss to Fargo Shanley, which is second. Jamestown travels to Minot to face the Majettes (0-2) tonight.
Bismarck High is first with four first-place votes while Shanley received two. Century is third.
Fargo North and Valley City received votes.
Shanley is ranked first in the boys poll, garnering six of seven first-place votes. Minot received the other and moved up one spot to second.
Davies, despite not losing, dropped one spot to third. Grand Forks Red River and Bismarck St. Mary’s rounded out the top five, respectively.
Bismarck High received one vote, dropping out of the poll after a loss to Minot.
