BISMARCK (AP) — A Louisiana police chief who was offered the position of police chief in Bismarck has declined the offer.
Christopher Elg, who is now police chief in West Monroe, La., declined the city of Bismarck’s job offer.
Elg thanked the city of Bismarck for interviewing him for the position but said he and his family deciding relocating to North Dakota was not the best option for them.
The Bismarck Board of Commissioners will meet soon to discuss a plan to fill the police chief position.
