Stewart inks with Jamestown College
Elyse Stewart of Draper, Utah, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Jamestown College women’s soccer team beginning in 2012.
Elyse Stewart of Draper, Utah, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Jamestown College women’s soccer team beginning in 2012.
Stewart, a midfielder/center defender, has been active in club soccer, playing for the Utah Avalanche (U8-U14) and Utah Glory (U14-U18). She helped lead her team to a Utah Glory Tournament championship (2012) and Del Sol Tournament championship (2010).
Stewart will graduate this spring from Alta High School.
“I am excited that Elyse is going to become part of our Jimmie family,” Jimmie women’s head soccer coach Nick Becker said. “I think she is a great soccer player, as well as a good student in the classroom. Elyse is the type of player who has the ability to step on the field and make an immediate impact.”
Stewart is the daughter of Gaylen and Michelle Stewart. She has also been active in varsity cross country. An honor student, she plans to major in Nursing at Jamestown College.
