Bismarck names new police chief
Bismarck has a new chief of police. The Bismarck Tribune reported that Dan Donlin accepted the top post in the department from the Bismarck City Commission on Friday. Donlin is a 25-year member of the Bismarck Police Department and current deputy chief.

The Bismarck Tribune reported that Dan Donlin accepted the top post in the department from the Bismarck City Commission on Friday.
Donlin is a 25-year member of the Bismarck Police Department and current deputy chief.
The commission had offered the job on Tuesday to Christopher Elg, who is the police chief in West Monroe, La., and named Donlin the alternate candidate. Elg turned the job down on Thursday.
Donlin’s salary will be $97,000.
