4-H volunteers convene in forum

On Dec. 3, 4-H volunteers from across the state came together to share ideas at the North Dakota 4-H Volunteer Forum.

Among the participants was Troy Sayler from Stutsman County. As a child, Sayler was involved in the Prairie Pals 4-H Club in Hebron, N.D. Today, he has three children involved in the Burleigh County 4-H Club. He and his family enjoy working on projects with their children and interacting with the other parents and kids in the Club. Sayler’s wife, Tanja, is one of the Burleigh 4-H Club leaders.

The North Dakota 4-H Volunteer Forum, sponsored in part by Monsanto through National 4-H Council, seeks to inspire 4-H volunteers by encouraging them to discuss new ideas and best practices. The forum provides volunteers the opportunity to network and gain fresh perspective, while fostering innovation and creativity.

Monsanto has been a 4-H partner for more than 50 years. Monsanto also supports local 4-H clubs through America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. In the first two years of Grow Communities, winning farmers directed nearly $600,000 to more than 230 4-H clubs across the country.
