Jimmies’ Ramlo earns weekly A.I.I. award

Amber Ramlo has been named the Association of Independent Institution’s Female Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Ramlo, a senior from Jamestown, had 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and a blocked shot in the Jimmies’ 84-76 overtime win over sixth-ranked Briar Cliff (12-3) on Dec. 20. The 6-foot senior ranks third in the NAIA in rebounding at nearly eight per game.
Jamestown College athletes have earned the weekly A.I.I. award 13 times since the beginning of the school year.
The 11th-ranked Jimmie women (12-1) are back in action this weekend at the Las Vegas Shootout. They take on Montana-Western on Friday and Montana Tech Saturday. Both games begin at 8:30 p.m.
