Carrington moves up; Napoleon ranked second

The Carrington High School boys basketball team moved up one spot to seventh in the latest Class B state poll.
The Cardinals (6-0) benefitted from losses by Cavalier and Four Winds-Minnewaukan, which are tied for eighth. Carrington’s 46 points are four behind sixth-ranked Rugby.
Beulah, which knocked off No. 1-ranked North Star and No. 6-ranked Four Wind-Minnewaukan, is ranked atop the poll with 11 of 12 first-place votes. North Star also got a first-place vote and is second.
The Napoleon High School girls basketball team remained second in the poll, though this week its tied with Kindred with 94 points. The Imperials (2-0) received two of 12 first-place votes, with the other 10 going to top-ranked Minot Ryan.
Maple Valley and Linton-HMB each received votes in the poll.
