No. 11 Jimmie women return to action tonight

The Jamestown College women’s basketball returns to action tonight. The Jimmies, 12-1 and ranked 11th in the NAIA, have not played since their exciting overtime victory at the Civic Center over sixth-ranked Briar Cliff of Iowa Dec. 20 84-76.

The Jimmies, 12-1 and ranked 11th in the NAIA, have not played since their exciting overtime victory at the Civic Center over sixth-ranked Briar Cliff of Iowa Dec. 20 84-76.

The Jimmies are in the top 10 in total defense and rebounding in the NAIA. They take on Montana-Western tonight and 8:30 p.m. and Montana Tech on Saturday at the Las Vegas Shootout. Results of the game will be posted to jamestownsun.com.

After their weekend in the desert, the JC women join the men’s team for games at Northern New Mexico College on Jan. 3 and Johnson & Wales University of Colorado Jan. 5.

The Jimmie men (7-7) play Sunday and Monday against Arizona Christian University in Phoenix. It will be their first game action in 15 days.
