No injuries reported in two-car crash

An estimated $5,000 in damage was reported in a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 18, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

An estimated $5,000 in damage was reported in a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 18, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Second Avenue and Fourth Street Southeast.

Nicholas Harding, 25, Grand Forks, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet southbound on Second Avenue approaching the intersection.

John Kleven, 66, Medina, N.D., was driving a 1994 Chevrolet and was stopped at the yield sign facing east.

Harding said Kleven pulled out as he approached and Harding was unable stop. Harding struck Kleven.

No injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

There was an estimated $4,000 in damage to Harding’s Chevrolet and an estimated $1,000 to Kleven’s Chevrolet.

Kleven was cited for failure to yield.
