Money stolen from open store

An undetermined amount of money was stolen from two cash registers in the Bismarck Kmart while the store was open.

BISMARCK (AP) — An undetermined amount of money was stolen from two cash registers in the Bismarck Kmart while the store was open.

Police said someone took a screwdriver from the store Wednesday evening and forced open two cash registers in the store’s layaway area.

The Bismarck Tribune reported that the two cash registers were destroyed.

Authorities are studying video to determine if they can find anyone acting suspiciously at the time the crimes were committed. Police said no suspects have been identified.
