Jimmies win opener in Vegas

Jamestown College defeated Montana-Western 67-59 Friday night at the Las Vegas Shootout.

Jamestown College defeated Montana-Western 67-59 Friday night at the Las Vegas Shootout.

The Jimmies held the Bobcats to just 31 percent shooting, while Carly Jensen, Bridget Schuneman and Kayla Roemmich each had 11 points for 13-1 Jamestown College.

The 11th-ranked Jimmies forced 20 turnovers and made 15 of their 20 free throws.

Amber Ramlo had six rebounds and four blocks before fouling out. Hannah Steele dished out eight assists.

Jensen made two of the Jimmies’ six 3-pointers.
