Class B roundup: Cardinals, Rebels split

Dacey Fuller poured in 21 points as host Ellendale rolled past Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 60-24 at the Dakota Holiday Tournament Friday night.
The Cardinals led 30-8 at halftime, holding the Rebels to a pair of 4-point quarters.
Shayna Mertz and Kirsten Rall chipped in with 10 each for Ellendale.
Hallie Anderson led the Rebels with eight.
Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier earned the split in Game 2, nipping the Cardinals 56-54.
Logan Hanson led the Rebels with 17 points.
The Cardinals trailed 45-37 going into the fourth quarter and nearly rallied for the win. Adam White and James Johnston each scored 18 points for Ellendale.
Oakes led 15-2 over Leola-Frederick after one quarter and never looked back in the opener in Ellendale.
Lydia Hansen and Nicole Warren had matching 12-point outings for the Tornadoes, who did not allow more than 10 points in any quarter.
The Oakes made it a sweep of Leola-Frederick as they rallied with a 12-5 fourth quarter. They had trailed 34-31 entering the final frame.
Stephen Quandt and Bryce Meehl each had 13 points for the Tornadoes.

Four Winds Shootout
Standing Rock’s Jaylee Fourswords went off for 36 points to highlight the Four Winds Shootout Friday.
Fourswords’ big game came in an 83-49 win over Four Winds-Minnewaukan.
Demrae Ami, Trenda Littleghost and Cherilyn Cloud each had 10 for the Indians.
LaMoure-Litchville-Marion fell to the Turtle Mountain JV 49-46 in the opening game of the day.
Tanys Ulmer (13), Tasha Piehl (11) and Jacey Alber (10) were all in double figures for the Loboes.
Four Winds-Minnewaukan’s boys team won the final game of the day, rolling past Dunseith 79-47. Collin Delorme led a balanced attack in victory with 18 points.
Warwick fell to the Turtle Mountain JV in the other contest. Richard Brownshield and Dana Jackson had 16 points apiece.
