‘Active Shooter’ survival course set
The North Dakota Safety Council is offering a training course to help prepare people in the case of an armed intruder.
BISMARCK (AP) — The North Dakota Safety Council is offering a training course to help prepare people in the case of an armed intruder.
The Bismarck Tribune reported the so-called Active Shooter Survival Training will be held Jan. 17 at Bismarck State College.
Safety Council spokeswoman Serena Schmit saidnumerous people called the nonprofit organization in the wake of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Schmit said the class costs $49. She said early applicants include school administrators, law enforcement officials and hospital employees.
