Two people, including a Jamestown man, were injured in a rollover crash Wednesday morning near Hobart Lake in Barnes County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said Echo Foster, 24, Casper, Wyo., was driving a 2003 Dodge Intrepid westbound on Interstate 94 about 20 miles east of Jamestown. He was driving at 77 to 80 mph while using cruise control. At about 9:40 a.m., the vehicle rolled into the median.

The patrol said a northwest wind was blowing snow off Hobart Lake onto the road and Foster was driving too fast for the conditions.

Foster a moderate to severe injury to his head and face, and his passenger, Jordan Naeu, 28, 8681 37th St. SE, suffered a minor injury to his hand. Neither had worn a seat belt. Barnes County Ambulance Services transported them to Mercy Hospital, Valley City, N.D.

Foster was cited for care required.

The Dodge was totaled in the crash, which remains under investigation.
