Hannaford’s Oien signs with Jimmies

Leah Oien of Hannaford, N.D., has signed with the Jimmie women’s track and cross country teams.

Oien is a two-time all-state performer in cross country for Griggs County Central High School, earning Senior Athlete of the Year honors this past season. She’s also a four-time all-East Region cross country runner and has a personal-best time of 15:45 in a 4K race.

“Leah comes highly recommended by her coaches and teachers and I believe she will be a dedicated student and runner,” JC women’s track and cross country coach Jim Clark said. “I think her best running days are ahead and I look forward to the opportunity to work with Leah as she joins the Jimmie teams.”

She is the daughter of Cindy and Ivan Oien.
