No injuries in two-car crash

No one was injured in a crash last week that caused an estimated $17,000 in damage, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

No one was injured in a crash last week that caused an estimated $17,000 in damage, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. Dec. 28, at the intersection of Third Avenue and Eighth Street Southeast.

James Goodroad, 27, Pingree, N.D., was driving a 2002 Chevrolet passenger car westbound on Eighth Street in the 300 block.

Billy Carrow, 28, 521 13th S SE, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet northbound on Third Avenue in the 800 block.

Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, and both slid as they tried to stop on the road with compacted snow.

Goodroad struck Carrow twice. Carrow then slid and hit a utility pole.

No injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing seat belts, the department reported.

There was an estimated $12,000 in damage to Goodroad’s Chevrolet and an estimated $5,000 in damage to Carrow’s Chevrolet.

No citations were issued.
