Jimmies sweep triangular, up dual record to 11-4

Tiffany Sluik and Shai Mason each posted a pair of wins as the Jimmies continued their strong season on Friday.

Jamestown College defeated Missouri Baptist University 32-12 and Midland University 28-19 to up its dual record to 11-4 on. In the 11 contested matches of the Midland (Neb.) University Triangular, the Jimmies won nine of them.

Sluik had 12 points at 130 pounds, while Shai Mason did the same at 143.

Amy Fearnside also had a pair of contested wins, taking her first match at 109 before moving up to 116 against Midland and earning a fall.

Christina Zamora had a pain against MBU at 155 and got a forfeit against Midland.

Mary Westman earned a tight 2-1, 2-1 win in the Midland University dual. Against Midland, Joanna Navarro secured a 7-0, 2-1 triumph at 136.

The Jimmies compete today in the Waldorf Open in Forest City, Iowa.
