GRAND FORKS (AP) — Corban Knight scored twice to extend his goal-scoring streak to six games as North Dakota coasted to a 5-2 win over Holy Cross in men’s college hockey on Friday.
North Dakota scored three power-play goals in the first two periods.
Knight has scored at least one point in 14 straight games. He scored twice in the first period as North Dakota raced out to a 3-0 lead. Carter Rowney and Danny Kristo scored power-play goals for seventh-ranked North Dakota (11-5-3).
Holy Cross, whose 10-4-2 start was its best since 2003-04, had its 3-game winning streak snapped by North Dakota goalie Clarke Saunders, who made 13 saves. Holy Cross was outshot 41-15.
North Dakota improved to 3-0-0 all-time against the Crusaders, who got third-period goals from Mike McNamara and Castan Sommer.
