The kindergarten program is a district-wide program. Students may be required to attend the kindergarten program in a school other than their neighborhood school. School assignments will be made after registration is completed.
Children who will be five years of age by Aug. 1 are eligible to register for the 2013-2014 school term.
Parents/guardians of children residing in the Jamestown Public School District who will be 6 years of age by Aug. 1 and who have not attended kindergarten in the Jamestown Public Schools should report to the nearest elementary school for first grade registration.
Parents/guardians registering their children for kindergarten or first grade are asked to bring their children’s certified birth certificates. The certificate is required before permanent registration can be completed.
Parents are also requested to bring copies of their children’s certified immunization records. State law requires that all children be properly immunized before they can attend school.
