Guard band to be in LaMoure

The North Dakota National Guard’s 188th Army Band will begin the new year performing at schools across southeastern North Dakota.

The North Dakota National Guard’s 188th Army Band will begin the new year performing at schools across southeastern North Dakota.

From Jan. 7-9, three ensembles from the band will perform in 15 schools. The biennial “Music in Schools” Tour features popular music, lights and fog machines while incorporating student interaction.

The three performance groups on the tour include Three Time Rule and Blues in Green, both variety bands, and Clarion of Freedom, a ceremonial band.

Two of the concerts in this area will be open to the public: Three Time Rule’s performance at 2 p.m. today at Lisbon High School, Lisbon, N.D., and Clarion of Freedom’s performance at 2:15 p.m. wednesday at LaMoure High School, LaMoure, N.D.

Other concerts in this area will be performed for students at Montpelier High School, Valley City High School, Litchville-Marion High School, Jamestown High School, Enderlin High School and Oakes High School.
