Optimist Club cites area athletes
Jamestown High School’s Steph Kamlitz and Zane Braun and Lilia Gudzyuk of Jamestown College have been named Athletes of the Week by the Jamestown Optimist Club.
Jamestown High School’s Steph Kamlitz and Zane Braun and Lilia Gudzyuk of Jamestown College have been named Athletes of the Week by the Jamestown Optimist Club.
Kamlitz, a senior on the JHS girls hockey team, had five goals and one assist in the Blue Jays’ 12-1 win over Dickinson on Jan. 5. Kamlitz has 10 goals and seven assists for the 10-2 Blue Jays.
Braun, a senior wrestler at JHS, went 5-0 to capture the 152-pound title at the Bismarck Rotary Tournament. Braun is 24-0 on the season.
Gudzyuk, a junior on the JC women’s wrestling team, went 2-1 with two pins at 170 pounds at the Waldorf Open in Iowa on Saturday.
