No injuries in local car crash

No one was injured in a Thursday accident that caused more than $8,000 in estimated damage according to the Jamestown Police Department. The accident happened at 7:53 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 10th Street Northeast.

No one was injured in a Thursday accident that caused more than $8,000 in estimated damage according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened at 7:53 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 10th Street Northeast.

Lisa Wagner, 44, 1309 Second Ave. NE, was driving a 2006 Hummer southbound on Fifth Avenue in the inside lane.

Chad Neumann, 18, 1014 Fifth Ave. SW, was driving a 1998 Ford northbound on Fifth Avenue in the inside lane.

Both approached the intersection, Neumann went straight and Wagner attempted to turn left onto 10th Street.

Wagner struck Neumann.

No injuries were reported and both drivers were using seat belts.

There was an estimated $7,000 in damage to the Hummer and an estimated $1,500 in damage to the Ford.

Wagner was issued a citation for failed to yield when making a left turn.
