City will begin clearing snow at 5 a.m. Saturday

City snow plows will take to the streets in Jamestown at about 5 a.m. Saturday. They will start by plowing snow emergency routes, according to a press release from the Jamestown engineer’s office.

City snow plows will take to the streets in Jamestown at about 5 a.m. Saturday. They will start by plowing snow emergency routes, according to a press release from the Jamestown engineer’s office.

The release said city crews will monitor conditions today and overnight and clear emergency routes as needed.

Attention will shift to the residential areas beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday with snow removal scheduled for the downtown business area slated to begin at 11 p.m.

The schedule is subject to change depending on actual weather conditions and based on the current forecasts as issued by the National Weather Service.
