Jamestown Regional Medical Center is restricting patient visitations due to the increasing number of influenza cases in Jamestown and the surrounding area.

Only immediate adult family members will be allowed to visit patients at the center effective Friday, according to information provided by the center’s staff.

Jenna Bredahl is the center’s quality and risk manager. She said she talked with staff at the hospital and the JRMC and Essentia Health clinics and all have noticed an increase of people coming in with the flu.

“We’re talking the precaution to protect our patients and staff,” Bredahl said.
