Three sentenced on felonies

Three people were sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court. Adam Duane Gaiser, 27, 815 Fourth Ave. SE, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

Three people were sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court.

Adam Duane Gaiser, 27, 815 Fourth Ave. SE, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

Gaiser was accused of possessing items used to produce or consume drugs other than marijuana in the felony count and possessing items used to produce or consume marijuana in the misdemeanor count in an incident that occurred on June 21, 2012.

Judge Thomas E. Merrick sentenced Gaiser to one year and one day at the Stutsman County Correctional Center on the felony charge. Merrick suspended 335 days of the sentence and gave Gaiser credit for one day already served.

Merrick also sentenced Gaiser to two years of supervised probation on both the felony and misdemeanor charges with the probation to be served concurrently.

Karen Michele Goodall, 39, 909 1/2 11th Ave. SE, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, all Class C felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, both Class A misdemeanors.

Goodall was accused of possessing alprazolam (Xanax), methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia used for drugs other than marijuana on the felony charges and possessing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia used with marijuana on the misdemeanor charges, all on or about Dec. 16, 2012.

Judge John Greenwood sentenced Goodall to two years at the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on each felony charge. Goodall was also sentenced to one year at the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on both of the misdemeanor charges. All sentences are to be served concurrently.

Goodall was also sentenced to two years supervised probation and to pay a $25 victim-witness fee on each of the five counts.

Jackie Lynn Tollefson, 41, New Rockford, N.D., pleaded guilty to theft of property, a Class C felony.

Tollefson was accused of stealing a debit or credit card on July 2, 2012.

Judge John Greenwood sentenced Tollefson to one year and one day at the Stutsman County Correctional Center with 326 days suspended and credit for 14 days already served. The remaining time in jail is to be served in 48-hour increments.

Greenwood also sentenced Tollefson to two years supervised probation and to not own or possess a firearm for two years. She was ordered to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility fee, $25 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment, $26.75 restitution and $25 victim-witness fee.

A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by one year in prison and a $2,000 fine.
