The James River Valley Library Foundation and its board will disband at the end of the month, said Joe Rector, director of the James River Valley Library System.

In order to remain a foundation the group would have to file paperwork with the state of North Dakota. Because the individuals currently on the Foundation Board do not wish to continue in that capacity and replacements could not be found, that paperwork will not be filed, Rector said.

“We are appreciative to all those interested and willing to serve, but we just couldn’t find enough people willing to do that,” he added.

The two remaining members of the foundation board of directors are Margeret Harding and Denise Steele.

The organization would have needed seven members to continue, including one who also serves on the board of directors of the James River Valley Library System Library Board.
