Ralph Hilgemann, past president of the local Eagles made pin presentations to these members: 70 years, Donald Ackerman, Harold Beckman and Leonard Rude, deceased; 55 years, Harvey Debuck and Raymond Eberhardt; 50 years, Anthony Emo, Delmont Johnson and Walter Klundt; 45 years, Clair Baker, Harlin Diede and Howard Haupt; 40 years, Don Altringer, Roy Gahner, Dennis Kanewischer, Gary Kelstrom, Dale Kolrud, Harold Kolrud, Lester Larson, Harold Mickelson, Willie Nagel, Ralph Olson, Leonard Palmer, Richard Pieske, Warren Spilde and Quentin Zimmerman; 35 years, Curtis Diede, Michael Pitra, Lester Putnam and Steve Schwarzrock; 30 years, Pat Eberhardt and Tom Zundel; 25 years, Aaron Neukircher and Allan Zerr; 20 years, Jeff Andersen and Richard Brown.
Past President Hilgemann was honored for being a past local president, a past Dakota state president and a past North Central regional president. He is also an inductee into the Dakota State Hall of Fame.
Arnie Becker was recognized for being a past local president, a past Dakota state president, past regional president, a member of the Dakota State Hall of Fame and the National Hall of Fame.
The local Eagles meet once a month on the second Thursday at a 6 p.m. dinner meeting at the All Vets Club. They are actively involved in the North Dakota Boys Ranch and raising awareness and financial support for the diabetes foundation. All members are urged to attend the meetings.
Local officers are Larry Gilge, president; Tom Thrift, vice president; Charlie Tanata, secretary; Ackerman, treasurer; Ray Batsch, chaplain, Howard Haupt, inside guard; and the trustees are Jerry Kemmet, Becker and Klundt.
