District 12 Dems elect leaders
The District 12 Democratic-NPL Party elected three new leaders in its January reorganization meeting. Scott Sandness was elected district chairman, replacing Dean Remboldt, who held the position for 10 years.
The District 12 Democratic-NPL Party elected three new leaders in its January reorganization meeting. Scott Sandness was elected district chairman, replacing Dean Remboldt, who held the position for 10 years. Jill Schlenker was elected vice chairwoman, replacing Rep. Jessica Haak, and Brock Fietzek was elected treasurer, replacing Roy Musland who held the position for 14 years.
Laurie Mosolf was re-elected secretary, and Remboldt was elected vice chairman. Haak and Sen. John Grabinger are also on the executive committee.
“In the recent election we had quite a few young people with leadership abilities involved in our campaign,” Remboldt said. “We are fortunate that they are willing to step forward and help lead our party.”
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. first Tuesday of every month at Shady’s in the Gladstone Inn & Suites in Jamestown. The Democratic-NPL is a grassroots organized political party. Meetings and membership are open to anyone who voted for, or plans to vote for, Democratic-NPL candidates, or simply affiliates himself or herself with the party’s ideals.
