No injuries in local car crash

No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that caused an estimated $8,000 in damage Friday, according to the Jamestown Police Department. The crash happened around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Second Avenue Southeast.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that caused an estimated $8,000 in damage Friday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Second Avenue Southeast.

Melinda Kapp, 56, Medina, N.D., was driving a 2008 Dodge westbound on Fourth Street.

Samantha Dick, 18, 1519 Skyline Drive, was driving a 2006 General Motors south on Second Avenue.

Both vehicles entered the intersection and Kapp struck Dick.

No injuries were reported and both drivers wore seat belts.

There was an estimated $4,500 in damage to the Dodge and an estimated $3,500 in damage to the General Motors.

Kapp was cited for failure to yield at intersection.
