A collection of buildings that saw repeated acts of vandalism this summer has been hit again, according to Detective Sgt. Leroy Gross of the Jamestown Police Department.

Two vehicle windshields and a building window were found broken between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning on the 800 block of First Avenue Southeast at Miller Landscaping.

Damage totaled an estimated $1,000.

In June nine juveniles were referred to juvenile court after vandalizing the buildings for about a month. Since then the buildings have been purchased and a business has been started at the location.

Gross said the cases are not believed to be related as the area sees a consistent amount of foot traffic.

“People cross there,” Gross said. “There is foot traffic that crosses through there and the only way to stop it is to put up a chain-link fence.”

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department at 252-2414.
