Red River Valley Coin Show comes to Fargo

The Red River Valley Coin Show is scheduled Jan. 26-27 in Fargo. More than 50 dealers will be set up to buy, sell and do free on-site appraisals for the public.

The Red River Valley Coin Show is scheduled Jan. 26-27 in Fargo. More than 50 dealers will be set up to buy, sell and do free on-site appraisals for the public. Items include U.S. and world coins and paper money, tokens, medals, postcards as well as any early North Dakota or Dakota collectibles.

The coin club show will held at The Best Western Fargo Doublewood Inn, 3333 13th Ave. S., Fargo. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

This year the show will feature an auction of 393 North Dakota national bank notes from 124 different North Dakota towns. This collection took 50 years to assemble.

Auction lot viewing will be from noon until 7 p.m. Jan. 25 and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Jan. 26. The auction will begin at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

Another feature will be a display of Minnesota national bank notes highlighting all of the types and denominations known including many rare notes from Red River Valley towns.
