Jamestown College golf coach Dustin Jensen has inked five recruits.

Brothers Mitchell and Trenton Hagenson of Staples-Motley (Minn.) High School, Michael Strain, another Staples-Motley product, Justin Goldsberry of Centennial, Colo., and Emily Larson of Anoka, Minn., have signed with the Jimmies.

“The Jimmie golf family is proud and excited to welcome Emily, Justin, Michael, Mitch and Trent,” Jensen said. “They all exemplify the core values of what it means to be a Jimmie student-athlete.”

The Hagenson brothers, the sons of David and Jody Hagenson, are both two-time state tournament participants. They also earned all-conference honors.

Strain is transferring from Concordia University of St. Paul, Minn. He was a six-year letterwinner and three-time state tourney participant. He is the son of Don Strain and Sharon Stone.

Goldsberry, the son of John and Carrie Goldsberry, is a team captain and state tournament qualifier in the state of Colorado.

Larson, who will also play basketball at JC, is a three-time all-conference performer. She is the daughter of Neil and Jennifer Larson.

“When it comes to golf, they are the epitome of what we are looking for because they love the game for its inherent values of honesty, integrity and sportsmanship,” Jensen said.
