Clippers sweep South Border

Unbeaten and 10th-ranked Strasburg-Zeeland improved to 11-0 with a low-scoring 54-45 win over South Border in a key District 6 contest on Tuesday night.

Brody Nieuwsma led the Clippers with 19 points in the win. Scotti Scherr splashed in three 3-pointers in the triumph.

Adam Jacobson (13) and Hunter Pinke (11) were in double figures for the Mustangs.

Strasburg-Zeeland also won the girls game, dominating the first half en route to a comfortable 62-37 win.

The Clippers outscored the Mustangs 19-6 in the second quarter for a 33-14 lead at the break.

Brittany Moser connected on four 3-pointers on her way to 18 points for the Clippers.

Kalli Scherbenske carried the load for South Border with 24 of its 37 points.
