The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County is hosting a Spin-In, from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 26.
It is a gathering of spinners or people interested in learning more about spinning to come and experience the craft of turning wool into yarn. The event is free and open to the public. If you would like to demonstrate, call 218-299-5511 ext. 6731 to reserve a chair.
Traditionally, spinners would refrain from spinning during the holidays. After St. Distaff Day, Jan. 6, women would begin spinning again for the household.
This event is free and open to the public but the museum galleries do require paid admission.
The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County is located in the Hjemkomst Center at 202 First Avenue North in Moorhead.
