Letter to the editor: Lawmakers should get to work, skip the politics
Did you know that Congress worked only 150 days last year? Of those days, only three hours a day were spent working on legislation. The rest of the time was spent on fundraising and politicizing. They also received a raise this year!By: By Hazel L. Scott, Jamestown, The Jamestown Sun
Did you know that Congress worked only 150 days last year? Of those days, only three hours a day were spent working on legislation. The rest of the time was spent on fundraising and politicizing. They also received a raise this year!
We all have done a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay, year after year. It’s just not right that our representatives play by different rules. Enough! Let’s hold our representatives to higher standards and do the people’s work. There is so much that needs to get done. Let our representatives know we want them to get to work.
