BISMARCK. (AP) — A group advocating the rights of gun owners is planning a rally on the steps of the North Dakota Capitol.
The Saturday event is part of a nationwide effort being organized by Guns Across America to protest President Barack Obama’s push for new gun control laws in the wake of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. Rallies are planned in most states.
North Dakota rally organizer Andre Palmier, of Fargo, told The Bismarck Tribune that it’s being promoted as a peaceful gathering. He expects several dozen people.
The rally is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m.
