Lillejord named Summit athlete of the week
North Dakota State’s Andy Lillejord has earned indoor track and field men’s athlete of the week honors for The Summit League after a strong performance at the Bison Classic on Jan. 11-12.
North Dakota State’s Andy Lillejord has earned indoor track and field men’s athlete of the week honors for The Summit League after a strong performance at the Bison Classic on Jan. 11-12.
Lillejord, a Jamestown High graduate, won the hepthalon, winning six of the seven events to finish with a meet-best 5,424 points, good for fourth in the nation.
He has the top pole vault mark in the league at 16 feet, 0.75 inches. The defending league hepthalon champ is also second in the long jump.
