After cosmetology school she moved back to her hometown to manage her mother’s salon. She and her husband, Levi, later moved to Minnesota and then Jamestown, where she worked at Top Designers for five years.

“At the end of the last year I decided to change my career goals and location to Etc Salon, one of few salons in Jamestown that booth rents,” Michel said. This allows me to be self-employed and have more control of my personal goals, while still being in a great salon environment with other amazing stylists.”

Michel has attended Matrix Destination and many other classes in Matrix, Schwartzkophf, Redken, TIGI, Mens Dept and others. She said she enjoys coloring, cutting, highlighting, pedicures, waxing, extensions and facials.

Etc Salon stylists will be attending Salon Centic Spring Show in Omaha, Neb., in March where they will learn the latest in new trends.

For an appointment with Brenda or other stylists, call Etc Salon at 252-1429, or stop in at its location at 920 10th St. SE, Jamestown.
