New N.D. bill would outlaw abortions for sex selection, abnormality
North Dakota lawmakers have introduced a new bill this session to place additional restrictions on women seeking abortions. The bill, House Bill 1305, would make it a Class A misdemeanor to abort a fetus because of its sex or its genetic abnormality.

Two local legislators are among those listed as introducing the bill: Rep. Bette Grande, a Republican from District 41 in Fargo, and Rep. Kim Koppelman, a Republican from District 13 in West Fargo.
A hearing on the bill is scheduled for Tuesday.
