JC women climb three spots in poll

Two lopsided wins last weekend have the Jimmie women’s basketball team heading north in the NAIA top 25. With wins over Dakota State and 20th-ranked Mayville State, the 18-3 Jimmies moved up three spots from No. 17 to 14.

Two lopsided wins last weekend have the Jimmie women’s basketball team heading north in the NAIA top 25.

With wins over Dakota State and 20th-ranked Mayville State, the 18-3 Jimmies moved up three spots from No. 17 to 14.

Jamestown College is one of three ranked North Dakota teams. Besides the Jimmies and Comets, Valley City State is ranked 25th, although VCSU (17-4) did fall 12 spots from 13th to 25th.

Thursday night the Jimmies and Comets will play for the second time in four days, although Mayville State (16-2) was not ranked last week. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
