Jimmie volleyball signs two players

Emma Lysne of Plymouth, Minn., and Taylor Preston of Fargo have signed with the Jamestown College volleyball team.
Lysne, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, was the 2012 MVP and four-year all-conference selection at Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
The daughter of Diane Loftus and Dale Lysne, she has also been active in basketball and peer ministry. She plans to study nursing.
“I am looking forward to having Emma in our program,” JC volleyball coach Jon Hegerle said. “She brings a wealth of experience playing high school and club volleyball in the Twins Cities. … Her gifts in the classroom and court will undoubtedly be a welcome addition to Jamestown College.”
Preston, a 5-foot-3 libero, was all all-East Region and all-state selection for Fargo North, recording 511 digs and 30 aces per season.
“Taylor has an extraordinary passion for people and competing,” Hegerle said. “Her energy and skill helped her establish herself as one of the premier liberos in the state and we are looking forward to having her as part of our program. I believe she will be a great addition to Jimmie volleyball.”
Preston has also been active as the yearbook editor and boys hockey trainer. The daughter of Rudy Preston and Stacy Sanders, she plans to study elementary education.
