DDC-4 is a fast-paced, four-hour driver improvement course that offers practical strategies to reduce collision-related injuries, fatalities and costs in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation reported 18,823 motor vehicle crashes in 2011 resulting in 148 fatalities and 5,022 injuries. Sixty-nine percent of individuals killed in motor vehicle crashes were not wearing seat belts.
Individuals who complete a NDSC Defensive Driving Course may be eligible for an insurance discount and a three-point reduction on their driving records.
The course is from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Municipal Court room at the Valley City Police Department, 216 Second Ave., Valley City.
Prepayment and registration are required. The cost is $42 for NDSC members, $47 for non-members, $32 for seniors (55 and older), $22 for additional family members (same household, same cost, $75 court referred).
