Indians still looking at Sykeston native Hafner
Though the Cleveland Indians chose not to re-sign him at the time, Sykeston native Travis Hafner is still on the team’s radar to fill the open designated hitter spot, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com Hafner is one of a few the Indians are interested in, with another being longtime great Jim Thome, another former Indian.

Hafner had 12 home runs, 34 runs batted in while hitting .228 in limited time last year. He has been hampered by injuries the past few years.
