Chicago coming to Fargodome

Chicago will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, April 26, in the Fargodome, 1800 North University Drive, Fargo. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25. Reserved seating, all ages tickets are $35, $49.50 and $74.50. Additional fees may apply.

Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era” by former President Bill Clinton, Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five consecutive decades and Billboard’s highest charting American band of all time.

For the fourth year in a row, Chicago is again joining forces in 2013 with the American Cancer Society to create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.

The band and the society, which declared itself “The Official Sponsor of Birthdays,” will offer fans the chance to contribute to the fight against breast cancer with the “Sing With Chicago” promotion.

Fans in every city where the band is performing will be able to bid on a package that includes two premium tickets, backstage passes to meet the band, and the opportunity to sing Chicago’s worldwide No. 1 song “If You Leave Me Now,” onstage with the band during the concert.

All proceeds will directly aid the society’s fight against breast cancer.

Lifetime achievements include a Grammy Award, multiple American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from a list of U.S. cities. Record sales top the 100 million mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 11 No. 1 singles and five Gold singles. Twenty-five of its 34 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards.
